Niki Ekman is Head of Current Intelligence at the Swedish National Bureau of Investigation.
Ekman began her career at the Police Academy in 1978, spending 10 years in uniform. During her tenure there, she studied law, earning a Master of Law degree from the University of Stockholm. In 1995, she was recruited by the newly formed National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS), where she specialized in criminal intelligence analysis with a focus on strategic analysis.
In December 2000, she received a Master of Science degree in Administration of Justice with a specialty in Research, Intelligence Analysis from Mercyhurst College. Since then, she has held several managerial positions at NCIS.
She lectures extensively on the subject of criminal intelligence and organized crime and teaches courses in Strategic Intelligence Analysis.
